Russia - More than 19 billion rubles recovered from the Rolf company and its founder

Russia (bbabo.net) - The court has recovered more than 19 billion rubles from the Rolf company and its founder Sergei Petrov at the suit of the Prosecutor General's Office. This was reported to TASS in the Khimki City Court of the Moscow Region.

As emphasized by the representative of the court, the claims were satisfied in full. Co-defendants in the suit are also Rolf Motors LLC, Rolf Estate St. Petersburg LLC. The court decided to recover the amount of the claim jointly and severally from all the defendants.

The reason for the lawsuit was that, according to the Prosecutor General's Office, Petrov managed the Rolf company, being a State Duma deputy, and did not declare his true income. As a security for the claim, the bailiff service seized the funds on the company's accounts. Petrov rejected the demands of the Prosecutor General's Office. However, the court agreed with the prosecution's arguments.

According to RIA Novosti, Rolf itself stressed that the situation did not have a significant impact on the company's operations, dealerships continue to operate normally.

At the end of 2019, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation initiated a criminal case against the head of the Rolf car dealer, Sergey Petrov, and a number of company executives about the withdrawal of 4 billion rubles abroad. Petrov himself, as well as the former general director of the auto dealer Tatyana Lukovetskaya and the director of the Cypriot company Panabel Limited, Georgy Kafkalia, were arrested in absentia and put on the wanted list. Anatoly Kairo, director of the business development department of the auto dealer holding Rolf, was placed under house arrest. Currently, the case against him is being heard in the Cheryomushkinsky Court of Moscow.
