According to Kryuchkov, if ARVI, and especially influenza, enters the body after suffering a coronavirus, then the infection can lead to more serious consequences than under normal conditions.

“If COVID-19 was mild, most likely there should not be any complications. If after a coronavirus infection there are consequences, post-COVID, and an influenza infection is superimposed on this background, then, indeed, an influenza infection can be more difficult. That is, it is not the very fact of the presence of these two episodes of the disease that is important here, but the severity and consequences of each of them, ”said Kryuchkov.

He noted that after a severe COVID-19, the flu can seriously affect the body. A person who has had a coronavirus should avoid the risks of infection with other viruses.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, said that the number of patients hospitalized with coronavirus in serious condition had increased.
