Russia - Found a link between visual attractiveness and the immune system

Russia (bbabo.net), - Scientists from the University of Florida and Texas Christian University conducted an extensive study and found a connection between visual attractiveness and the functioning of the immune system. The results of the study are published in royalsocietypublishing.o.

In a study of 492 people, photographs of 159 young people were evaluated for visual attractiveness. These young people were then screened by doctors to evaluate their immune systems, their levels of inflammation in their bodies, and their self-reported health.

It was suddenly discovered that people whose faces were considered attractive had relatively healthier immune systems, especially in regards to bacterial immunity.

Some gender differences were also found. So, outwardly attractive men had highly functional natural killer cells. These cells are responsible for the body's fight against viral infections. Attractive women had slower bacterial growth in their plasma, which is related to the levels of minerals, glucose, and antibodies in their blood.

Scientists have suggested that attractiveness is associated primarily with good immune factors that can be passed on genetically.
