Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Tatyana Golikova said that in Russia and the world most of all die from cancer. She said this at the XII All-Russian Forum of the Interregional Public Movement "Movement Against Cancer", RIA Novosti reports.

“Unfortunately, malignant diseases still occupy a leading position in terms of mortality both in our country and around the world, and this terrible disease can only be countered by joining forces,” the politician said.

She noted that the Russian government supports citizens and helps them in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of oncology. Since the end of 2018, the country has been implementing the federal project “Fight against cancer” with unprecedented funding.

According to Golikova, the only way to achieve a reduction in mortality rates from cancer is by increasing the availability and quality of care provided.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed her hope that she would help develop effective solutions against cancer.

Previously, a specialist at the British clinic Harley Street Clinic, oncologist-consultant, Dr. Amen Sibtein listed nine main symptoms of cancer.
