Muscovite Oleg Albegov, who died in Karachay-Cherkessia during a conflict with locals, was a well-known biker in the motorcycle community and went on vacation with his friends. In a conversation with the head of the MotoMoscow association, Andrey Ivanov, he said that the Caucasus is a popular destination for tourism among the community, but after the incident it becomes scary to go there. He added that after the murder of Albegov, local law enforcement officers assigned guards to the group of tourists.
“Traveling to the Caucasus after that is scary. There was a physiological situation, people after the plane, well, it happens. They very much asked the driver of the gazelle to stop on the side of the road, moved away from the road by 20 meters. No one on the side of the road relieved himself, there is a video where this can be seen. Some stupidity. A person does not defile anything, there is an open field. There is no monument, no sacred architectural structures. The people who were with Kujik (Agbegov's nickname - ed.) were assigned guards from two police crews with the words "so that you are not killed here after all this." This characterizes the police well, the police work. But I have one question for the authorities of the region: what is going on there?” he said.
Ivanov added that he characterizes Albegov exclusively positively and the man has never been seen in illegal acts. He stressed that community representatives are "full of indignation" and demand an impartial investigation.
“It shocked everyone. You mean pull out a knife and kill a man? I saw situations absolutely terrible for me, as for a patriot of my country. How some young people in the video urinated on commemorative plaques or fried sausages on the Eternal Flame. For me it's wild, but even that is not worth it to kill a man. There was not even that,” he concluded.
