The reduction in packaging volume also affected sour cream, pet food, sweets and dairy products.

The Verny network confirmed that some manufacturers began to reduce the size and weight of the goods. Manufacturers noted that this is a forced measure that will allow maintaining the affordability of the product in the face of rising production prices.

Earlier it was reported that in Russia from January 2017 to January 2022, prices for products needed for making borscht doubled.
