Russia (bbabo.net), - The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on causing death by negligence to two or more people after the death of a family in a fire in Inkerman.
Recall that the fire occurred early this morning in a two-story apartment building on Yablochkova Street, 2A. As a result of the fire, according to preliminary data, a family of four died - parents and two children. Two people were taken to hospital with injuries and carbon monoxide poisoning. A wooden 12-apartment building was destroyed by fire, about 30 people were left homeless.
According to the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, after extinguishing the fire, the bodies of the residents were found. Investigators are working at the scene to determine the cause of the fire and all the circumstances of the incident.
The Investigative Committee also noted that during the investigation of the criminal case, the actions of officials who were supposed to recognize the house as emergency and resettle the people living in it would be studied.
Earlier, the Governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said that the house was declared emergency in 2021. However, not all residents had documents for apartments, only three families could count on resettlement. According to him, the victims will be assisted in registration of rights to real estate.
According to the prosecutor's office of Sevastopol, 10 fire victims are now in a temporary accommodation facility in the Inkerman club. The rest moved to relatives. The city promises to provide them with temporary places in the hostel.
