The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation announced the deployment of life support camps for refugees from the DPR and LPR

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation announces the beginning of the deployment of life support camps in the Rostov region for evacuees from the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. It is reported by Interfax.

“Specialists of the Don Rescue Center have begun to deploy life support camps. In total, more than 400 people and 150 pieces of equipment are involved in providing assistance,” the ministry said.

It is noted that at present the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Rostov Region has been put on high alert.

“Operational groups have been sent to the checkpoints to help organize work. They included specialists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, Rospotrebnadzor and the Ministry of Health. In total, six automobile checkpoints have been organized,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a statement.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DPR, Alexei Kostrubitsky, said that the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic plans to evacuate from 500,000 to 700,000 people.

The evacuation was announced on February 18 by the heads of the republics. They explained the removal of residents by the preparation of an offensive operation by the armed forces of Ukraine. According to the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, the Donetsk military daily records the increase in the number of lethal weapons by the Ukrainian army, including the Smerch and Uragan multiple launch rocket systems, as well as the American Javelin and Stinger man-portable missile systems.
