Rospotrebnadzor spoke about the situation with COVID-19 in the regions of Donbass

The head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that the situation with COVID-19 in the regions of Donbass, from which refugees go to the Rostov region, is more difficult than in Russia. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“The epidemiological situation in the regions of Donbass is not the most prosperous and more difficult in terms of coronavirus, at least than in our country,” Popova said.

She stressed that the volume of testing for coronavirus in the Donbass and the Russian Federation is incomparable. In addition, in her opinion, it is not possible to ensure compliance with sanitary requirements in a crowd.

She stressed that testing of refugees from Donbass for coronavirus should be carried out at temporary accommodation centers in the Rostov region. She stressed that the necessary stock of test systems would be delivered to the Rostov region within two days.

Earlier, Acting Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia Alexander Chupriyan demanded at an operational meeting not to delay payments to refugees from Donbass and start them within a day.

On February 18, the heads of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics announced the evacuation, explaining such a measure by the threat of an imminent attack by the Ukrainian military. According to the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, the Donetsk military daily records the increase in the number of lethal weapons by the Ukrainian army, including the Smerch and Uragan multiple launch rocket systems, as well as the American Javelin and Stinger man-portable missile systems.
