“Liver disease can also be identified by the eyes. With viral hepatitis, yellowing of the integument of the body and the cornea of ​​​​the eyes occurs. Bilirubin, which the liver must process, but cannot cope with, enters the blood and tissues and stains them. Melanoma that has appeared in the eye can also be seen on examination. It can be on the iris, on the sclera, or inside the eye on the choroid, ”explained Dementiev.

Dry eyes indicate a deficiency of vitamin A. To get rid of this, you should adjust your diet - consume more carrots and beef liver or take dietary supplements.

“To relieve discomfort in the eyes, use moisturizing drops and use a humidifier indoors,” the specialist concluded.
