Acting head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexander Chupriyan said that 26 Russian regions expressed their readiness to accept refugees from Donbass, Interfax reports.

According to him, Russian Railways is ready to provide trains for the evacuation of residents of Donbass, they will be relocated to other regions of the Russian Federation, the logistics are being worked out.

Earlier, in the Rostov region, where refugees from the DPR and LPR arrive, a state of emergency was declared. In the region, on the basis of health camps, sanatoriums and recreation centers for refugees, temporary accommodation centers with hot meals and medical care were prepared.

Prior to this, in connection with the threats emanating from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, mass evacuations began in both self-proclaimed republics, citizens are taken out by buses and rail. Also in the DPR and LPR announced a general mobilization.
