The head of the LPR signed a decree on general mobilization following the DPR

Following the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, the head of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic, Leonid Pasechnik, signed a decree on general mobilization. The decree was published on the website of the head of the LPR.

The document states that “in order to create conditions for repelling aggression against the LPR”, men aged 18–55 are being drafted into military service, they are also prohibited from leaving the region. The decree has entered into force. The evacuation of the population has also been announced in the LPR.

Earlier, general mobilization was announced in the DPR. Head Denis Pushilin called on the men of the republic, who are able to hold weapons in their hands, "to stand up for their families, their children, wives, mothers."

Prior to this, Pushilin announced the start of a mass evacuation of the population to Russia. He said that Ukraine is preparing forceful seizure of Donbass, the life and health of citizens may be in jeopardy. As a result, 6,603 residents left the region, including 2,436 children.
