German Foreign Ministry recommended its citizens to leave Ukraine

German citizens were advised to leave Ukraine, the German Foreign Ministry said. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The list was updated with the recommendation of the department on Saturday, February 19.

“A warning against trips to Ukraine. An urgent call to leave the country. Military clashes are possible at any moment,” the ministry said in a statement.

In addition, the largest German airline Lufthansa temporarily suspends flights to Kiev and from the Ukrainian capital, the crew was denied a flight, the Bild tabloid clarifies.

“This applies to all flights from Monday, February 21, through February 28, inclusive,” the airline said.

At the same time, a similar recommendation was issued by the Austrian Foreign Ministry.

“A warning about trips to Ukraine, with the exception of the western regions - Lviv, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi. We urgently warn against all trips to Ukraine, with the exception of the mentioned western regions," TASS reports with reference to the agency.

Also, Austrian Airlines from Sunday, February 20, and until the end of the month, temporarily suspend flights to the Ukrainian capital. The ban will also apply to flights to Odessa.

“Yes, we are also suspending flights to Kiev and Odessa until the end of this month,” the organization explained.

Earlier, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock said that it was not clear whether the war in Ukraine was a "determined matter."
