Israel decides to open borders to unvaccinated tourists

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said that the country will allow both vaccinated and unvaccinated tourists from March 1, but with two PCR tests. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

The decision to ease coronavirus restrictions was made by Bennett and Israeli Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz.

From the statement of the Prime Minister's Office, it follows that from March 1, tourists of any age, vaccinated and unvaccinated, will be allowed entry, subject to two PCR tests: before departure and after landing in Israel.

Earlier, the press service of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism said that Russian citizens vaccinated with Sputnik V will be able to enter Israel under a simplified procedure.

They added that vaccinated tourists will have to receive a positive test for the presence of antibodies, made in Russia in one of the laboratories recognized by the Israeli Ministry of Health.

Such citizens will be able to submit all the necessary documents in advance on the website of the Israeli Ministry of Health and receive a green certificate even before departure to the country.
