Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that if Vladimir Putin has plans to visit the places of accommodation of the evacuated residents of Donbass, then this will be separately notified. This was stated by the Kremlin representative during a briefing.

“If such plans appear in the president’s schedule, we will inform,” Peskov explained.

At the moment, there are no details related to Putin's alleged visit to the places of accommodation of people who arrived from the LPR and DPR.

Peskov also explained that the evacuation of the residents of Donbass is connected with the aggressive actions of the Ukrainian military.

On February 18, the leaders of the DPR and LPR, amid the growing threat of hostilities, announced the evacuation of the inhabitants of the republics to Russia, initially to the Rostov region. Later, a number of Russian regions announced their readiness to receive and accommodate refugees.

In connection with the arrival of refugees, the state of emergency was introduced in the Volgograd, Penza, Voronezh, Saratov and Rostov regions.

Prior to this, the Kremlin commented on the statements of the West against the backdrop of the events in the Donbass.
