People's Artist of Russia Gennady Yukhtin has been discharged from the hospital, where he ended up with pneumonia last week. This is reported by TASS with reference to the head of the Actors Guild Valery Gushchina.

A source close to the actor clarified that the artist's condition had stabilized, Yukhtin himself asked for an extract, his wife supported his decision.

“The actor’s health condition is kept under control, in case of any deterioration, he will immediately be hospitalized again,” the source said.

On February 7, 89-year-old Yukhtin was hospitalized in serious condition. The actor was diagnosed with viral pneumonia, PCR test for coronavirus was positive. According to a RIA Novosti source, doctors assessed the actor's condition as serious.

For the first time, Yukhtin began to feel the symptoms of the disease on January 27.
