In Moscow, the deputy of the Moscow City Duma from the Communist Party Elena Yanchuk was detained

Moscow City Duma deputy from the Communist Party Elena Yanchuk said in her Telegram channel that she was detained and taken to the Izmailovo police department on suspicion of organizing an illegal rally.

“The police detained me on the street, didn’t say for a long time why they were delivering, then they actually began to accuse me of organizing some kind of rally, they didn’t show any documents when they were delivered,” the parliamentarian said.

According to the parliamentarian, the police released her after drawing up a protocol on violation of the rules for participating in the rally on the territory of Troitsk. Next, Yanchuk will have to be notified of the date of the trial.

Earlier, police detained a Moscow City Duma deputy from the Yabloko faction, Sergei Mitrokhin, in the center of Moscow during his meeting with voters. According to the parliamentarian, the police drew up a protocol against him under Part 5 of Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (“Violation by a participant of a public event of the established procedure for holding a meeting, rally, demonstration, march or picket”).
