The taxi ran over a five-year-old boy at the turn, when the green light for pedestrians was already lit up.

The perpetrator of the accident fled the scene.

“He is currently under arrest. An investigation into the accident is underway," the ministry said.

Doctors diagnosed the injured boy with bruises and a head injury.

Earlier it was reported that a drunk driver of an Opel car knocked down two teenage sisters who were walking along the roadside in the Ozersky urban district of the Chelyabinsk region. As a result of the incident, a 14-year-old girl died, a 16-year-old was hospitalized.
