Russia - In Britain, named foods that increase the risk of coronary heart disease

Russia (bbabo.net), - British researchers have named a number of foods that increase the risk of coronary heart disease by 18%. These include sausages, bacon, ham, salami and pate, according to the Daily Express.

The study was carried out by experts from the University of Oxford. More than 1.4 million people took part in it. Their health status was monitored for 30 years.

In summary, the results showed that increasing the consumption of processed meat by 50 grams per day increased the risk of coronary heart disease by 18%. And every 50 grams of unprocessed red meat per day increases the risk of coronary disease by 9%.

Scientists called processed meat that was cured by smoking, salting, salting or adding preservatives - that is, sausages, bacon, ham, salami and pates.

"If you currently eat more than 90 grams of red or processed meat per day, the UK Department of Health and Welfare recommends that you reduce your consumption to 70 grams," the article says.

At the same time, the study did not reveal a clear association between an increased risk of coronary heart disease and the consumption of poultry meat.
