He got his nickname because he was born in the village of Nikel, Murmansk region, and throughout his criminal life he controlled activities in his far from poor native village. He was convicted repeatedly for rape, robbery, robbery, possession of weapons and drugs.

A criminal case on the grounds of a crime in occupying a higher position in the criminal hierarchy under Article 210.1 of the Criminal Code was initiated in 2019. Earlier, on the basis of a request from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Murmansk region, he was put on the international wanted list through Interpol channels. The Oktyabrsky District Court of the city of Murmansk chose in absentia a measure of restraint against him in the form of detention.

Last year, the accused was detained on the territory of Portugal and today at the international airport of Lisbon he was handed over to representatives of Russian law enforcement agencies for delivery to Moscow.
