Psychologists advise temporarily abandoning social networks to reduce anxiety in connection with the events taking place in Ukraine, TASS reports.

“It is important here how we let disturbing information in. News and social networks, of course, are not good for us here, because we constantly look there, and some people do not go out. Instagram, Facebook and other social networks now, from each post, it turns out that a person becomes infected with a lot of anxiety, with which he can do nothing. It destroys our psyche. There are things that do not depend on us, therefore it is not worth escalating. We ourselves open the door for this anxiety through the media and social networks,” said psychologist Elena Poyarkova.

It is best, according to psychologists, for people with increased anxiety to watch news or informational content on social networks only once a day, for example, in the evening.

“We have to take care of ourselves. You need to focus not on how to deal with anxiety, but how to prevent it, ”explained Poyarkova.
