Ukrainian economist Kushch: Kiev strives to become a second Poland for the United States

Ukrainian analyst Aleksey Kushch, in an article for Glavred, criticized the country's desire to become a “second Poland” in order to please the United States.

“Our entire foreign policy was built on the idea of becoming the second Poland for the United States, that is, on the desire to enter the group of strategic countries. But the USA does not need a second Poland, they already have the first, ”he writes.

Kushch also expressed concern about the likelihood of global geopolitical conflicts, in which Ukraine will participate only as a "proxy country".

"Such countries disappear from the stage in the first acts of the play, like Mercutio in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet," he concluded.

Over the past few weeks, Ukrainian and Western media have been reporting the alleged preparations for a Russian invasion of Ukraine. In particular, Bloomberg, citing sources, reported that US intelligence believes that Russia can allegedly prepare an invasion of Ukraine in early 2022 and conduct it from three directions - from the Crimea, on the mainland and through Belarus. In Russia, these accusations are denied.
