The human rights project Gulagu.net has distributed on its resources on social networks new footage of torture and abuse of prisoners.

One of the recordings depicts the beating of a convict, who is believed to have refused to cooperate with and obey the administration. Presumably, the video was made at the FSIN office in Krasnoyarsk.

On December 20, a draft law was introduced to the State Duma, which provides for imprisonment for up to 12 years for torture organized by government officials. The authors of the bill were senators Andrei Klishas and Vladimir Poletaev, and deputy Pavel Krasheninnikov.

In early October, the Gulagu.net portal published footage of the rape and beatings of prisoners, which took place at once in several correctional institutions throughout the country. In total, the human rights project received more than 100 video files from the Federal Penitentiary Service, confirming the systemic nature of torture in the colonies and pre-trial detention centers of the Irkutsk, Vladimir and Saratov regions.
