The popular real estate search service CIAN banned authors from indicating restrictions and prohibitions regarding citizenship, nationality, race, religion and other signs in their ads, TASS reports.

Corresponding changes were made to the license agreement. "From December 1, the description of the ad must not contain any form of preference based on race or ethnicity (including such characteristics as skin color, nationality, citizenship and religion)," the statement on the official CIAN Telegram channel said.

The authors of already posted ads that contain discriminatory requirements (for example, "consider only Slavs", "hand over to people of Slavic appearance", "only to citizens of the Russian Federation") must edit the text in accordance with the new rules by February 1, 2022.

"After this date, CIAN reserves the right to independently make appropriate adjustments to the description of the objects you have posted," the message says.
