In Yekaterinburg, a student contracted a coronavirus and ended up in a mental hospital

In the capital of the Urals, a 22-year-old student contracted SARS-CoV-2 and ended up in a psychiatric hospital. This is reported by the e1.ru edition with reference to the girl's mother.

“Masha (name has been changed - ed.) Began to say incomprehensible things: that something is wrong in the world, that the end of the world should come, that wars are going on everywhere,” said the parent.

Then Maria was taken to psychiatrists, who diagnosed the girl with schizophrenia and hospitalized her. A few days later, the patient's temperature rose - a PCR test showed that it was COVID-19. She was sent to another hospital, she tolerated the infection easily, but her mental disorder intensified.

“I don't know what the doctor was treating her for. But he constantly gave her new pills, which did not help, and her mind was getting worse and worse, "- the mother describes her daughter's condition.

Two months later, through the efforts of the mother, the student was transferred to another hospital, where she was given effective treatment. The girl will now have to take pills all her life - otherwise there will be a relapse. Maria's mother is sure that the cause of sudden schizophrenia was a coronavirus infection. She admitted that no one in their family was vaccinated.
