Farewell gifts distributed to pilgrims in Saudi Arabia

In Saudi Arabia, the results of the successful Hajj season are being summed up, and symbolic gifts were handed out to the pilgrims at parting.

The General Directorate of the Two Holy Mosques distributed 25,000 gifts to pilgrims before leaving for their home countries. Among the gifts were prayer rugs, incense, sweets, souvenirs, as well as flowers - roses and jasmine. The head of the department, Sheikh Abdurahman al-Sudais, personally participated in the distribution of gifts to the guests of Mecca, reports bbabo.net with reference to ArabNews.

Meanwhile, the governor of Mecca, Prince Khalid al-Faysal, summed up the Hajj season and said that the pilgrimage was carried out without accidents and outbreaks of infections.

During the Hajj period, Saudi doctors performed 10 open-heart surgeries on pilgrim patients, as well as 187 cardiac catheterizations and 447 hemodialysis procedures.
