The investigation of this high-profile criminal case, the episodes of which became known in February of this year, were led by the first department for the investigation of especially important cases of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Krasnodar Territory.
According to investigators, the 50-year-old accused in March 2018 came up with a criminal scheme: in the form of caring for lonely elderly people, including those suffering from mental illness, to steal their property. She attracted her relatives to the criminal group - a godfather, two sisters and a sister-in-law. The participants, distributing roles among themselves, collected information about elderly pensioners who own real estate, their marital status, and passport data. At the same time, they entered into the trust of the elderly - they helped to buy food, clothing, medicines in stores, and solved household chores around the house.
Then the gang carried out transactions for the sale and purchase of houses and apartments of pensioners without their knowledge and personal participation, providing forged notarized documents and passports. Real estate was acquired by malefactors at a significantly reduced cost in liquid places of the city, and subsequently quickly resold to third parties. The accomplices also formalized loan agreements secured by this property.
According to the prosecutor's office of the Krasnodar Territory, the initiator of the "conveyor weaning" of housing controlled uninformed salespeople who registered transactions similar in appearance to the actual owner. As a result, 18 elderly people in Krasnodar and Sochi suffered from the actions of scammers. The total damage amounted to more than 55 million rubles.
"Within the framework of interim measures to restore the violated rights of victims to residential buildings, arrests have been made. Now the housing rights of five citizens have been restored, work continues on the rest," the press service of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Krasnodar Territory said.
