Today, December 24, the Moscow City Court will announce the verdict to the 19th blogger Matvey Yuferov, who is accused of desecrating a portrait of a veteran in Izmailovo. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the courts.

The court hearing will take place at 12:00, they told reporters.

Yuferov urinated on the stand with a portrait of the Great Patriotic War veteran Anatoly Frolov, recorded it on video and posted it on Instagram. The blogger later apologized for what he had done, saying that "moral torment is eating him from the inside."

A case was initiated against the young man under part 4 of article 354.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Desecration of the symbols of military glory of Russia, insult to the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland, committed publicly by a group of persons" - he was in the campaign of friends.

Earlier, the state prosecutor requested five years in a general regime colony for Yuferov. He is currently in jail.
