Russia (bbabo.net) - In Penza, a 36-year-old local resident was convicted of murder 13 years ago. The girl who died at his hands was the first victim. The defendant is already serving a sentence for the murder of two more girls, whom he took their lives a little later, in the same year.
As reported in the Penza Regional Court, in April 2008 a man noticed walking along the path past an unfinished building on the street. Gagarin in Penza, a 12-year-old girl. She went out of the house to the store for Easter egg stickers. The attacker took the child inside the building, took a mobile phone and gold jewelry worth about 13.5 thousand rubles. To cover up the crime, he struck the victim at least six times on the head with a stone. The girl died on the spot. Her body was found by relatives when they went to look for a child who did not return home.
It was not possible to identify and detain the attacker after the crime was committed.
- The crime was solved thanks to a forensic genetic examination. The victim's jacket had biological traces belonging to the defendant. Also on the can of alcohol-containing liquid, seized at the scene, there was a fingerprint left by the same man, - explained Tatyana Makhnitskaya, senior assistant to the head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee in the Penza region.
The defendant pleaded guilty in part. He explained that he only intended to take possession of the phone and gold jewelry, he did not want to kill the girl.
He is currently serving a sentence from the Penza Regional Court in 2009, which sentenced him to 19 years in prison with serving in a maximum security correctional colony for the murder of two other girls. Then the verdict was passed by a jury. A new criminal case was considered by a panel of judges at the request of the defendant. She also found him guilty of killing a person who was known to be in a helpless state.
For the cumulative crimes, the defendant will spend 24.5 years in a strict regime colony. The verdict can be appealed by the parties.
