Most Russians supported the idea that December 31 would forever be declared an official day off. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the results of a study of the service for finding high-paying jobs SuperJob.
To make December 31 forever a day off was supported by 81% of respondents. According to the study, the idea of introducing a permanent day off is always more supported by women than men (84 and 79%), and Russians 34 years old are more than their fellow citizens aged 45 and over (85 and 79%).
According to experts, among residents of large cities more often than others, the announcement of an all-Russian holiday on December 31 is supported in Volgograd and Kazan (89 and 88%). Slightly less in Krasnoyarsk and Yekaterinburg (73 and 74%). In Moscow, 81% of respondents gave a positive assessment to the initiative, and in St. Petersburg - 83%.
Earlier, Denis Kravchenko, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, said that December 31 should be a day off, since Russians need to prepare to celebrate the New Year.
