Russia - Patriarch Kirill prayed for peace in Kazakhstan during the Christmas service

Russia (bbabo.net), - Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill prayed for the establishment of peace in Kazakhstan during the night Christmas service in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church announced this at the end of the Liturgy.

“Today I prayed that the Lord would bow His mercy to the people of Kazakhstan, that the internecine warfare would stop, so that peace would be established, - said Patriarch Kirill. - And we believe that by the grace of God this will happen.”

The Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church noted that in response to God's goodwill, people should, on their part, use efforts to be worthy of divine favor, and therefore any establishment of peace where there is no peace requires tremendous efforts, and first of all, always from those who involved in a conflict, requires some kind of self-restraint in their demands and aspirations.

According to the patriarch, if the opposing sides are able to assume obligations for such self-restraint, then peace will be achieved. “And God forbid that peace truly reigned on the land of Kazakhstan. We will pray for this, work and hope that it will be so,” added Patriarch Kirill.
