Three of our skaters are leading after the short program at the European Championship

Russia (bbabo.net), - Russian figure skater Andrei Mozalev won the short program at the European Championships, which started in Tallinn. Two more of our single skaters - Mark Kondratyuk and Evgeny Semenenko - are in the top three. All participants are debutants of continental championships.

Mozalev showed clean skating, jumping a combination of "quadruple toe loop - triple toe loop", quadruple salchow and triple axel. He received 99.76 points, which is his personal best.

The best results for his career were also shown by his teammates. Both Kondratyuk and Semenenko made two quads each, including one in the combination. The guys' scores are 99.06 and 99.04 respectively.

Note that Andrei Mozalev, although he took bronze at the qualifying championship of Russia, was originally a substitute. He got a place in the team after Mikhail Kolyada withdrew due to a foot injury received in training.
