The leader of the Kazakh national team Alexander Bublik reached the 1/4 finals of the ATP tournament in Montpellier, bbabo.net correspondent reports.

In the second round, the Kazakhstani beat Pierre-Hugues Herbert from France. The meeting lasted almost two hours, and ended with the victory of Bublik in three sets (6:3, 6:7, 6:2).

In the final set, Bublik took three of his opponent's serves, losing only one of his own. During the match, the Kazakhstani was able to win six games on the serve of the Frenchman.

The next opponent of the Kazakhstani will be the winner of the pair, which was made up of the Frenchman Gilles Simon and Roberto Bautista-Agut from Spain.
