Russian skier Alexander Bolshunov won the silver medal in the 15 km time trial.
Finn Iivo Niskanen won the race in 37 minutes 54.8 seconds. Bolshunov lost 23.2 seconds to the Finn.
Norway's Johannes Klebo finished third, 37.5 seconds back.

Russian skiers at the Beijing Games have previously won gold (Bolshunov) and two silvers (Denis Spitsov, Natalya Nepryaeva) in the skiathlon and bronze (Alexander Terentyev) in the sprint.
The next race for skiers at the Olympics will be the 4 x 10 km relay on 13 February.
