Fall at the start and the wrong boot. How an American skier fought for a medal at the 2022 Olympics

Team USA cross-country skier Rosie Brennan found herself in an awkward situation shortly before the start of the Women's Freestyle Sprint Quarter Finals at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.

According to Team USA, Brennan's Olympic sprint has looked disappointing since the start of her quarter-finals - and even before. She showed up with two left ski boots, but was saved by the men's team by taking the right boot from the Olympic Village.

It is noteworthy that Brennan's problems did not end there - then she fell when she stumbled on target in the quarterfinals, and ended up in the snow.

Recall that in the final, Brennan became only the fourth, losing 4.5 seconds to the winner from Sweden, Jonna Sundling. The second place went to another Swede Maya Dahlqvist, and Jessica Diggins from the USA rounded out the top three.
