Vozhega occupies a special place in his biography. In the village they say: "We can't count the number of skiers." The decision of father Denis to enroll his son in the appropriate section of the sports school seemed to him the only correct one: "Where else?". At first, the boy did not show much interest in his studies, sometimes he shied away. I did not leave the track only thanks to the perseverance of the coach Evgeny Vanyukov and his parents.
Hard training allowed Denis to win the district and regional competitions. Vanyukov then saw its potential and thought: for further growth, one cannot do without going to a professional school. The choice fell on the Tyumen Olympic Reserve Training School.
It was not without difficulty that the mother's consent to parting with her son was obtained. By the way, she still lives in Vozhega, keeps all the cups and medals of Evgeny, including the most recent ones. There are over a hundred of them.
Together with a 14-year-old boy, his mentor also moved to Siberia in order to continue training with him already on the Tyumen ski track. Eugene is proud that his instinct did not fail, for him the Olympic awards of the pupil are the best joy, the highest encouragement. The fact that the guy has great prospects became clear in 2015: then Denis won six medals at the junior championships in Kazakhstan and Tyumen - three gold, two silver and bronze.
Tyumen residents, like many other of our compatriots, love and appreciate Spitsov not only for his sporting achievements. Also - for selflessness, sincerity, light and noble character.
