The Professional Football League of Kazakhstan (PFLK) has announced the date of the match for the country's Super Cup, a bbabo.net correspondent reports.

The match for the trophy will take place on March 2 in Nur-Sultan at the Astana Arena stadium. The champion of KPL-2021 Kostanay "Tobol" and the winner of the Cup of Kazakhstan Almaty "Kairat" will compete for the Super Cup.

It is noted that due to the tight calendar, it was decided to return to the classic one-match Super Cup, in which the current champion and the winner of the Cup of Kazakhstan meet.

Initially, the silver medalist of the KPL-2021 "Astana" and Petropavlovsk "Kyzyl-Zhar", who took fourth place, were also supposed to fight for the trophy.

Recall that the Super Cup of Kazakhstan - 2021 was played according to this format. Then "Tobol" won in Turkestan.

KPL-2022 starts on March 5.
