The Russian national biathlon team missed the gold medal in the team relay at the 2022 Olympics, bbabo.net reports.
The Russian team, which included Karim Khalili, Alexander Loginov, Maxim Tsvetkov and Eduard Latypov, led the entire relay with a decent lead, which reached one minute.
At the last stage, Latypov, who was finishing the race, failed to cope with shooting from a standing position, allowing five misses with six extra rounds, and was forced to run two penalty loops. According to the results of the relay, the Russian team lost 45.3 seconds to the Norwegians. At the finish line, Latypov could not hold back his tears.
As a result, the Norwegian team won the gold. Silver for the French biathletes. and the Russians were content with bronze.
