I'm happy: biathlete Reztsova about silver in the relay

Russia (bbabo.net), - Russian biathlete Kristina Reztsova shared her emotions after winning silver in the relay at the Beijing Olympics.

How do you feel about the medal?

Kristina Reztsova: This is the second time I have become a medalist of the Games. Now it's a little easier to understand everything. When this happened for the first time, there were incomprehensible sensations - what to do, how to behave. Now I am more or less calm. And happy.

Was there a better race at the Olympics than this one?

Kristina Reztsova: I can't compare, because in fact I was a little bit bad in every race. Today I also had an unfortunate miss, but it did not greatly affect the result. We can say that it showed 98 percent of the maximum.

Is the second stage the most successful and comfortable for you?

Kristina Reztsova: It doesn't matter for me which stage to run. Each of them has the same task. But, in doing so, when you run the second stage, you have to create a good lead for the next stages. And on the latter there are no options - you need to run away or catch up.

After the pursuit, you complained of pain. How do you feel now?

Kristina Reztsova: Literally on the eve of the race, I had a pinched muscle under my shoulder blade, and I could not do anything about it. Now it is much better, and the shoulder has almost recovered. Everything is fine.

And how did you pinch it?

Kristina Reztsova: Oh. Next question (laughs).

Were you asked about staging, where do you want to run?

Kristina Reztsova: Yes, the coaches were interested, but in the decision was theirs.

What did you answer them?

Kristina Reztsova: Thistory.

A little earlier, Mikhail Shashilov surprised us with the words that he no longer works with the team after the relay. What was it?

Kristina Reztsova: I have no idea. I do not know.

A question about yesterday's men's race. So many top athletes supported Eduard Latypov, and did you manage to talk to him, cheer him up?

Kristina Reztsova: I didn't see Edik, but we crossed paths with Max Tsvetkov and Sasha Loginov. They were cheerful, happy, joking. Of course, I understand that something is gnawing inside each of them. They are great fellows. It is very important to support Edik.
