Such a proposal was sent by the authorities of St. Petersburg to the official representative of Achilles, the veterinarian of the Hermitage cats, Anna Kondratieva.
- Cat Achilles has become another symbol of St. Petersburg - both sports and cultural. He takes part in a large number of events, works at sporting events, predicted the results of matches at the European Football Championship and other competitions. We really hope that Achilles liked this activity and that he will continue it. First of all, we are waiting for him at the Champions League final, - said the vice-governor.
Anna Kondratyeva added that the activities of her ward are not limited to sports. Achilles is a cat-felinotherapist, and in this capacity he communicates with children who need communication with animals for medicinal purposes.
At Euro 2020, the snow-white Hermitage cat correctly predicted the results of seven out of eight matches. Technically, it looked like this: two bowls of food were placed in front of the animal near the flags of the countries participating in the match, and Achilles approached one of them.
According to the results of the year, he became the most mentioned cat in the media and was among the finalists of the international award "My affectionate and necessary animal". Its winners are chosen by popular vote, the results will be announced on March 12 in the city of Zelenogradsk, Kaliningrad region.
