Match TV acquired the rights to show games of the Football National League (FNL), the second division of the Russian championship. This was reported to RBC Sport by a source in the FNL and an interlocutor in Gazprom-Media.
RBC Sport sources noted that the agreement is for three years and will enter into force in the summer of the 2022/23 season. “Before that, Match TV will host various promotional campaigns to popularize content,” said a source in the FNL. The interlocutors do not name the amount of the transaction.

Yandex in 2018 acquired the rights to the FNL for 4 years and shows matches on its platforms. Until 2018, one or two FNL matches in each round were shown by the thematic channel “Match! Our sport”, the rest of the games were played on the Internet – on the league’s website and its pages on social networks. Also, the matches were shown by several regional TV companies showing the matches of their team.
Among fans and in the FNL network, it is called the "Best League in the World." Such a definition of the championship was given by the popular public VGIK (Vesely Guberniev and Company) with an audience of more than 2 million subscribers on VKontakte. The community jokingly discusses Russian football and the FNL in particular. In the summer of 2021, the FNL announced cooperation with VGIK. And now VGIK subscribers once a month choose the brightest player in the league.
