Russia decided to review the status of Kazakh football players

Journalist Nobel Arustamyan in his telegram channel spoke about possible changes in the limit on legionnaires in the Russian football Premier League, bbabo.net correspondent reports.

Representatives of the Kazakhstan national team - Marat Bystrov (Akhmat) and Bakhtiyor Zainutdinov (CSKA) also perform in the RPL. At the same time, the defender of Kairat Nuraly Alip signed a contract with Zenit the other day.

“The limit on legionnaires in the RPL is, indeed, close to change. Colleagues have already written about a possible new format - 13 foreigners + 12 Russians.

This process is really underway. The leadership of the RFU is working on a draft of a new limit, however, it still has to be approved by the executive committee. It has long been known that Alexander Dyukov has long wanted to loosen the limit in order to make competition on the field purely sporting. Valery Karpin also advocated the abolition of the limit many times, the clubs also supported the initiative - it is in their interests to equalize salaries and balance the budget.

Now Dyukov and the RFU are as close as possible to changing the limit.

But there are several nuances in the new format - for example, the situation with players from the EurAsEC countries (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan). Let me remind you that now they are not considered legionnaires in the RPL.

As far as I know, according to the new project, players from these countries will only be included in the number of foreigners in the application. That is, they can be in the application among those same 13 legionnaires, but when they enter the field, they will not pass as foreigners," writes Arustamyan.

Recall that the RPL will resume on February 26. The teams played 18 rounds.
