Valieva fell from a quadruple jump on the run of a free program

Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva managed two out of three quadruple jumps at the last training session before the start of the free program at the Olympic Games. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

Valieva performed a quadruple salchow, a triple axel, then fell from a quadruple sheepskin coat, and then performed a pure cascade of a quadruple toe loop-oiler-triple salchow.

Another Russian figure skater, Alexandra Trusova, instead of her usual five quads, tried to perform three - salchow, sheepskin coat and lutz. The first turned out to be a "butterfly", the other two were made without errors.

Gold for Valieva after the trial. Announcement of the free program of the figure skaters of the 2022 Olympics Anna Shcherbakova made one quadruple flip in the cascade with a triple sheepskin coat during training.

Figure skaters will present free skates on February 17, beginning at 13:00 Moscow time.

After the short program, Valieva is leading (82.16 points), Shcherbakova is second (80.20), and Japanese Kaori Sakamoto is third (79.84). Trusova is still in fourth place (74.60).

Earlier, the IOC announced that if Valieva, admitted to the competition by the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, gets into the prize-winners, the award ceremony will not be held until the end of the proceedings regarding the positive doping test of the Russian woman, passed in December 2021.

Fonbet considers Valieva the favorite of the personal tournament, bets on her final victory are accepted with a coefficient of 1.30, on Shcherbakova's victory - with a coefficient of 4.30, Trusova - with a coefficient of 13.00.
