Russia (bbabo.net), - At the Olympic Games in Beijing on Friday, February 18, in figure skating, the pairs tournament starts. 19 pairs will present their short program, including 3 Russian duets - Anastasia Mishina-Alexander Gallyamov, Evgenia Tarasova-Vladimir Morozov and Alexandra Boykova-Dmitry Kozlovsky.

All three Russian couples have chances for gold. Our main opponent will be a couple from China - Sui Wenjing-Han Cong. On their side, including the home arena and native stands. The Chinese duet has already shown its strength in the team tournament. But now it's starting all over again.

The short program by Mishina and Gallyamov is based on variations on the theme of the ballet "Esmeralda". Tarasova and Morozov will present us their version of "Galatea and Pygmalion", and Boikova and Kozlovsky will skate a short program to "Swan Lake" by Pyotr Tchaikovsky.

All three of our couples and the Chinese duet will perform in the final - fifth - warm-up. Mishina-Gallyamov will take to the ice at 16.17, Tarasova-Morozov - at 16.30, and Boikova-Kozlovsky - at 16.37.
