Golovkin began preparations for the unification fight

Kazakh boxer Gennady Golovkin (41-1-1, 36 KOs) has started preparing for his next fight, bbabo.net reports.

"Back to training," GGG wrote on Instagram.

The Kazakhstani hopes that the date of the unification fight in Japan will be announced soon, where he was supposed to meet in the ring with WBA Super belt holder Ryota Murata (16-2, 13 KOs) back in December 2021.

Chris Eubank Jr. (Great Britain) and Jaime Munguia (Mexico) would also like to fight Golovkin this year. At the same time, there was information earlier that a trilogy with the Mexican Saul "Canelo" Alvarez would be organized in the fall. The rivals met in 2017 and 2018, in the first fight a draw was recorded, and in the second, Canelo won by decision.
