Putintseva missed out on a 4-0 victory in the decisive set over the former world No. 1 at the tournament in Doha

Kazakh tennis player Yulia Putintseva lost to former world number one Victoria Azarenka from Belarus at the WTA 1000 tournament in Doha (Qatar), bbabo.net correspondent reports.

The match of the first round ended with the victory of the Belarusian tennis player with a score of 5:7, 6:2, 7:5. Moreover, in the third set, Putintseva led 4-0, but allowed Azarenka to level the score. The meeting lasted almost three hours (2 hours 49 minutes).

Putintseva currently occupies 42nd place in the WTA ranking, and Azarenka is the 17th racket of the world. After this match, the score of personal meetings became 2-0 in favor of Azarenka.
