American actor Alec Baldwin supported Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva, who got into a doping scandal at the 2022 Olympics, bbabo.net reports.
The Golden Globe and Emmy winner called the 15-year-old athlete a great talent, writing a comment under her Instagram post.
"You are a great talent, you have so much ahead of you," the actor wrote.

Prior to that, Baldwin admired Valieva's skating in team competitions, where she won gold as part of the Russian team.
However, the award ceremony was not held due to the fact that the doping test of the athlete from December 2021 was positive.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport, despite the appeals of the International Olympic Committee, the International Skating Union and the World Anti-Doping Agency, allowed the Russian woman to the personal tournament of the Games. Valieva, who was leading after the short program in single skating, made a number of gross mistakes and took fourth place.
