The roofs of two sports facilities collapsed in Tatarstan and Udmurtia. In Kazan, a part of the Iskander football and rugby arena collapsed, and in the Udmurt village of Yakshur-Bodya, the roof of an ice rink collapsed.

The sports committee of Kazan told BUSINESS Online that the side structure of the facade was destroyed. “The preliminary reason is the large volume of snow, the difficulty in its operational cleaning due to the design features and insufficient fixing,” the statement says.

Currently, work is underway to eliminate the accident. No casualties have been reported.
