The recommendations of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to ban competitions in Russia and the ban on displaying the country's flag at international competitions are very disappointing and inadequate in relation to Russian sports, the press service of the country's Ministry of Sports said in a release to RBC-Sport.
Earlier on Friday, the IOC Executive Committee called on international sports federations to cancel all scheduled competitions in Russia and Belarus and refuse to display flags, as well as the performance of national anthems at international starts.
