Kazakh taekwondo fighter wins gold at Asian Club Championship

From March 5 to March 6, the rating tournament Asian Taekwondo Clubs Championship was held in Tehran (Iran), the press service of the Kazakhstan Taekwondo Federation reports.

On the second day of the competition, the men's taekwondo team of Kazakhstan competed for awards and won three medals. Among them, one gold and two bronze.

Smayil Duysebay, performing in the weight category of 87 kilograms, won the championship. In the final, he defeated a local athlete.

Nurlan Myrzabaev (80) and Yerasyl Arapbai (68) became bronze medalists of the tournament.

Thus, Kazakhstani taekwondo athletes have nine medals of the Asian Club Championship: one gold, two silver and six bronze.

The women's team of Kazakhstan took the third place in the team - Nurai Bauyrzhanova (49) and Zhansel Deniz (73) won silver medals, Aidana Edilbayeva (46), Rita Bakisheva (46), Amin Nurgazykyzy (62) and Nurai Khusainov (67) won bronze medals.
